Launching soon...
The SEN Den is a welcoming, calm space created by Phoenix Trauma Services for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and/or additional needs (SEN). Based in Burton upon Trent, the SEN Den offers sensory-based activities, gentle support for parents and carers, and connection in an environment designed to feel safe, inclusive, and understanding. Our SEN-friendly sessions provide calming, child-led activities designed to support emotional regulation, communication and wellbeing in a safe, trauma-informed environment.
Parents and carers are welcome to bring their child or children to all SEN Den sessions, unless stated otherwise. Children do not need a diagnosis, to sit still, to take part in activities, or to behave in a particular way. They are welcome simply for being themselves.
What Happens at the SEN Den?
The SEN Den offers calm, sensory and creative activities, flexible child-led spaces, a relaxed environment for parents and carers and opportunities to connect with others who understand SEN experiences. There is no pressure to talk or participate, families can engage in their own way.
At Phoenix, we believe in supporting children and families to be seen and understood. The SEN Den is a place to pause, connect and feel supported.
